We recognise that development happens everywhere—not just in the clinic. Our services are designed to be flexible and deeply integrated, combining our team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologist, Education Therapist and Psychologists to offer a tailored approach that supports your child's needs, whether they thrive in our custom-built sensory gyms, a school environment, a group program or local community spaces.

Sense Therapies Services

Occupational Therapy

Our Paediatric Occupational Therapists focus on the fundamental skills children need to participate fully in their world—their "occupations." This goes beyond just handwriting or fine motor skills; we look at the whole child and celebrate who they are as a individual.

Our OT sessions are play-based and built on a neurodiversity-affirming foundation, helping children develop crucial sensory processing, emotional regulation, and self-care independence.

Whether your child struggles with attention, social challenges, gross motor coordination, or managing big emotions, our team provide tailored strategies to help them feel safe, confident, and competent at home, at school, and in the community.

Getting Started: Our Intake and Appointment Process

If you are interested in Occupational Therapy, please complete an intake form online (linked below) to be placed onto our waitlist.

Our administration team will then look at our OT schedules and, when a place becomes available, they will get in touch with you to discuss if you still require support and the specific day/time we have available.

The therapeutic process begins with two important appointments:

Initial Appointment (Parents/Carers Only): This initial meeting is with the parents/carers only. This dedicated time allows you to speak freely about your child, share detailed history, and discuss any concerns or challenges without the child present.

Second Appointment (Child Introduction): This is when your child will attend the clinic for the first time and meet their OT.

We encourage parents/carers to be present in the clinic and involved when the OT advises is appropriate. This involvement allows for a seamless transition and ensures you can confidently continue our approaches in your own space.

Group Programs

We provide school term & holiday group programs to allow children to experience different things within the community and to continue to support local businesses in the area.

Groups are OT led and are an incredibly powerful therapeutic setting. Our specialised, interest-based programs—like School Readiness, Junkyard Rascals, and holiday camps—are designed by our clinicians to help children build social confidence, friendship skills, and collaborative play in a fun, natural environment.

By working alongside peers with similar profiles, they learn how to manage frustration, navigate social cues, and practice self-regulation strategies in real-time, all while engaging in meaningful and memorable activities.

Groups are led by an OT and are divided by age to maximise peer connection.

Next Steps for Groups

To register your interest in one of our groups programs, please complete an online intake form. Our Groups Coordinator will then assess your child's needs and age and allocate them accordingly if we have a place available. They will then get in touch with you to confirm your place and provide further information.

If you have any questions about the Groups Programs please feel free to get in touch with our Groups Coordinator via email [email protected]

Sense in Schools

Our Sense in Schools program is designed to empower educators, support staff, and school leaders across daycares, pre-schools, primary schools, and high schools by providing OT-led training and strategies for building genuinely inclusive classrooms.

Teaching today is more complex than ever; classrooms are busier, and teachers are stretched balancing behaviour, curriculum, and emotional needs. Sense in Schools was specifically created to solve this challenge. Our evidence-informed training helps educators and schools understand the “why” behind challenging behaviour, which drastically reduces daily stress and builds calmer, more inclusive classrooms where every neurodivergent child can succeed.

We support and empower educators, support staff, and school leaders with practical, sustainable tools to create an environment where every student feels seen, safe, and ready to learn. For our local regions, the Illawarra and Shoalhaven, we offer in-person support including workshops and on-site coaching. For schools across Australia, the full program is accessible via our interactive app-based platform, allowing teams to complete the high-quality training online at their own pace.
